Times of Our Lives

Yes, we all did have a gala time meeting up for this dinner do at the Gold Dragon City Seafood Restaurant at Paramount Garden,Petaling Jaya yesterday night.

It was about one of the biggest 'small do' that we had with the attendance of  some 16 bosom friends. Those who attended included:

Man Lin
Swee Pin
Bala
Chee Kiang
Lee Kiang
Jenny Tan
Bernard Yeo
Gim Ooi
Saik Tat
Richard
Say Chuan
Kooi Ming,
Kwang Chye
Yau Kok
Ah Kew
Heng

We traded stories in 'overdrive mode' and it was a swell time to have the sweet moments of camaraderie as together, we reminisce the nostalgic days of yore at USM.

Here are some of the moments in pictures, courtesy of Yau Kok.

The Norman Rockwell Moments

As enumerated by David Vincent Gilbert.

These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read:

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

5. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

Will Malaysia think about this seriously?

What a Joke! Enjoy

DO YOU GO TO CHURCH?

A friend was in front of me coming out of church one day, and the preacher was standing at the door as he always is to shake hands. He grabbed my friend by the hand and pulled him aside.

The Pastor said to him, "You need to join the Army of the Lord!"

My friend replied, "I'm already in the Army of the Lord, Pastor."

Pastor questioned, "How come I don't see you except at Christmas and Easter?"

He whispered back, "I'm in the secret service."
